- ➤ Folsom History will host a special talk on 'California’s Civil War' at the Folsom History Museum (823 Sutter Street) at 5:30 p.m. on May 15 as historian Louisa Brandt will share her research on California’s role in the war, including ties to Folsom; tickets cost $15 for general admission, $12 for members, and $5 for students. - ➤ Basi Vibe, a neo-soul artist from Sacramento who now lives in Los Angeles, will play at Concerts in the Park on May 16—his first show there since he released his EP Somnus in 2015. - ➤ Folsom Lake College’s Falcon’s Eye Theatre is starting a four-night run of Twelfth Night today at Wakamatsu Farm in Placerville. - ➤ California State Parks staff found invasive golden mussels on a boat inspected Tuesday at Beals Point during a new inspection program at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The boat was taken out of service and will be quarantined and cleaned — a step to stop the spread of the species. Folsom Times
