- ➤ Folsom held its 80th birthday celebration Saturday at City Lions Park and the City Zoo Sanctuary — featuring the return of the Great Snail Race, a dunk tank, and festive activities that brought families together for nostalgic fun. Folsom Times

- ➤ Red Hawk Resort Casino hosted free live music last weekend: Plaid City performed Friday at Stage Bar, the Clint Warner Duo played Friday at Apex and Donnie and the Wayrads closed Saturday, offering a mix of grunge, blues and classic rock + lively entertainment. Folsom Times
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Folsom Cordova USD celebrated 48 teachers finishing a two-year induction program on May 7 at the Folsom Community Center (focusing on coaching, reflection and classroom success). Principals and district leaders joined the event to honor professional growth. Folsom Times
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A water leak damaged parts of Station 36 (Oak Ave) on Friday, leading the department to relocate crews and equipment to Station 39 in Empire Ranch. Repairs are expected to take 7 to 10 days, but emergency services remain uninterrupted. Folsom Times
