- ➤ Folsom Chapter of National Charity League held its annual Mother-Daughter Tea and Senior Recognition at Granite Bay Golf Club — over 190 members, including girls in grades 7 through 12, attended to honor graduating seniors with service awards and special recognition for volunteer hours. The event, a long-standing tradition since 1947, celebrated community service and strengthened mother-daughter bonds. Folsom Times

- ➤ Folsom High student Fallon Griffin won a $500 innovation award for her accessible Tic-Tac-Toe game at the SVMA Manufacturing Challenge & Cordova High educator Faith Caplan was honored as Mentor of the Year with a $1,000 honorarium and a $2,500 grant for her classroom. Folsom Times

- ➤ The Folsom City Council approved a pilot program to install Flashing Yellow Arrow traffic signals at select intersections to ease left-turn delays (the new devices are expected to reduce idle times and cut emissions) and city engineers will review 19 potential sites with the first signal scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026 (a community outreach campaign will inform residents). - ➤ Folsom City Council unanimously approved a new fee schedule for police services that raises fees for alarm permits, report processing, and other administrative tasks, and the changes will go into effect later this year. The revised fees are designed to boost cost recovery—cutting the general fund subsidy by more than half. Folsom Times
- ➤ Folsom City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve a $3.7M project to purchase a building at 1 Natoma Street to support a growing police department amid rapid population gains—Police Chief Rick Hillman said the new facility will cut rental costs and allow for needed upgrades to handle increasing service demands.
