- ➤ Folsom High School senior Jayani Duggirala was named the 2025 Female Athlete of the Year on May 21 for her historic tennis wins and strong academics, becoming the first player to win the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 Singles Championship twice—her achievement was celebrated by coaches, peers, and school leaders. - ➤ The Sacramento County District Attorney, the Sheriff and the Wilton Rancheria Chairman signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday morning to form a task force that used the district attorney’s crime lab—assigning dedicated staff to expedite forensic testing and prioritize missing and murdered Indigenous person cases.
