➤ On Sunday a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured tubing behind a boat at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area near Granite Bay at around 2:30 p.m.—he was alert and stable when taken to a hospital as the investigation continues. KCRA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ Folsom Mayor Sarah Aquino said today that despite recent layoffs at Intel, the city is growing and diversifying its economy—focusing on technology, healthcare, and new housing like the Folsom Ranch project. Aquino added that the return of Intel employees to campus will help boost local businesses and support the talent pool in Folsom. Capital Public Radio
