➤ Historic Folsom will host its 7th annual Soap Box Derby Rally this weekend as racers aged 7 to 20 will compete in handcrafted, gravity-powered cars along Sutter Street from Wool Street to Central Valley Community Bank & volunteers will catch cars and award trophies in a double-elimination format, reviving a local tradition restarted in 2018 by community leaders. ➤ Zittel Farms in Folsom opened its gates this past weekend for its 49th pumpkin pickin’ season—welcoming families with hay rides, farm animals and antique displays. The family-owned farm at 6781 Oak Ave remains open through Halloween with weekend hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Folsom Times
