- ➤ Folsom residents will experience a classic radio broadcast revival as Sutter Street Theatre presents Orson Welles’ The War of the Worlds on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.—actors will use live sound effects in an old-time radio studio replica. Tickets cost $13 at the door at 717 Sutter Street in Folsom's Historic District. Folsom Times

- ➤ The City of Folsom named longtime fire service veteran Jason Solak interim fire chief effective October 7 after Fire Chief Ken Cusano retired. Solak brings over 30 years of experience — including roles with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 4 — and a strong commitment to community safety.
