- ➤ A new indoor pickleball facility will open on October 25 at 9522 Greenback Lane after transforming a long-vacant Big Lots store into a year-round sports hub. The club, run by husband-and-wife team Mukti and Jyoti Patel, will feature 15 cushioned courts, free introductory clinics, and tournaments while creating roughly 30 new jobs in Folsom. Folsom Times
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Today and tomorrow, visitors can enjoy the Handblown Glass Pumpkin Patch at the Folsom Art Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where more than 6,000 glass art pieces including pumpkins, gourds, and themed works are on display with live glassblowing demonstrations — proceeds benefit local arts education programs. - ➤ Folsom’s Powerhouse Pub is hosting a weekend of live music — the event kicked off Friday with a disco tribute, features funk acts by G-Ride and Adam Aldama and The Aces today, and will end Sunday with blues by Shane Dwight and a local showcase. All shows are for adults at 614 Sutter Street in the Historic District and promise energetic music for local fans. Folsom Times
