- ➤ Folsom’s Palladio will host the Foothill Wine Fest tomorrow, November 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. where over 40 wineries will offer tastings, gourmet food, artisan vendors, and live music—VIP access begins at 2 p.m. and general admission opens at 3 p.m. Folsom Times
- ➤ The Historic Folsom Ice Rink opens tomorrow with 90-minute skating sessions and a lineup of themed events running until January 19—crews finished final touches and the first Zamboni spun the ice, kicking off a season of festive community gatherings and Donate & Skate days for local nonprofits. Local families can enjoy special sessions, private event options, and holiday traditions as the rink brings winter fun to the Historic District. Folsom Times
- ➤ Red Hawk Resort and Casino and The Apex at Red Hawk are offering a 20% discount on Apex activities all month to veterans, military and first responders. They will also provide a free kart race with any qualifying activity from Nov 9—11 and on Veterans Day, Nov 11, qualifying guests can receive a $20 dining credit along with an 11X point boost from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Folsom Times
- ➤ Folsom will host its 25th annual Wayne Spence Veterans Parade Tuesday, November 11, starting at 9 a.m. (the parade begins near the Target/HomeGoods parking lot, travels along East Bidwell and Natoma Streets with planned closures, and ends at City Lions Park where local veterans will be honored) and Folsom Times will live stream the event (letting residents watch if they cannot attend in person). - ➤ A Sacramento resident won a $102,517 jackpot at Red Hawk Resort Casino Wednesday night+ the anonymous Red Hawk Rewards Club member hit the win on a 10-cent Moon Race Lightning Link slot machine, casino management said. Folsom Times
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Folsom Turkey Trot will be held on November 27 at Rodeo Park and Lions Park with the 10K run at 8:50 a.m. and the 5K at 9 a.m.—over 4,000 participants are expected to run to raise funds for local causes while packet pickup takes place on November 26 at Folsom Community Center. Folsom Times
