Folsom Citizens Assisting Public Safety launched the 2025 CAPS Christmas Toy Drive to collect toys, clothing, and gift items for local families during the holiday season — local police, fire, and volunteers are coordinating with schools and drop-off sites until December.
Two travelers, Torin and Paige Rouse, arrived in Folsom after reaching 6,743 miles on their cross-country walk and were welcomed with water refills, commemorative coins from local police, and a rest at a historic Airbnb.
They plan to continue southeast along I-5+ seeking more hosting as they move forward on their journey.
