- ➤ Sutter Street Theatre in Historic Folsom (at 717 Sutter Street) will debut The Olde Tyme Radio Show on Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. to offer a live 1930s-style radio recreation of A Christmas Carol, while its annual Holiday in the Hills runs through Dec. 23 with festive musical numbers and local historical scenes. - ➤ Folsom will host its first NorCal Short Film Festival from Feb. 27–March 1, 2026 at Palladio Luxe Theatres, featuring film screenings, a red-carpet opening gala, and meet-and-greet with filmmakers (organized by Choose Folsom, Visit Folsom, Fat Elephant Productions, and the California Capital Film Office); tickets are on sale now. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A woman gave birth in a Waymo ride as the self-driving car reached UCSF Medical Center safely after its support team detected unusual activity. The DMV approved an expansion of Waymo's testing territory to include Folsom and surrounding areas, pending separate approvals for paying passengers. KCRA
