Good morning, Folsom.

Sacramento native Patricia Nikole gained international acclaim for her innovative Painted Hair technique—she developed a detailed method that better transforms darker hair colors, especially for Latinas, and she has served as an ambassador for major hair brands while teaching live online classes. Her family works closely with her in the business, a practice that has supported her transformative approach since she began styling at 18.

Ironman California will take place in Sacramento on Sunday, Oct.

19, where 3,400 athletes will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run a marathon as part of a 140.6-mile triathlon. Organizers need 2,500 volunteers over a five-day period to support the athletes by offering safety checks and pep talks along the route — groups may also apply for a $20,000 grant from the Ironman Foundation.
