➤ Folsom City Council approved a $497,312 contract with Wood Rodgers (Inc.) to design the Highway 50 Class I Trail Undercrossing following its Dec. 9 vote; the design phase will ensure a safe, connected trail system for residents and set the stage for future construction when pending grant funds are finalized. ➤ Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom unveiled the da Vinci 5 robotic surgical system today (a state-of-the-art platform that supports minimally invasive procedures with shorter recovery times) during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by hospital leaders and community partners. Folsom Times
